About Us

Ella

I’m Ella, and I guess my main role on this blog is to keep the guys in check! Oh, and to write some cool travel articles.

I’m 28 years old, and it’s been my mission to do and see whatever I can before I reach the big 3-0 (although, to be fair, 30 doesn’t seem to have had any effect on Alex – if anything, he’s gone even more mental now than ever!).

My highlights include teaching and backpacking around Asia, working for Disney World in Florida, and inter-railing around Europe. Wow – it is unbelievably hard to narrow it down!

Alex

Hey world, I’m Alex and, although I may be a man of few words (I have promised to TRY MY BEST to keep adding to this blog, but I don’t think the others are holding their breath), I pride myself on being able to find fun and good times in any place on the planet.

I’ve shared snake bite with Cambodians who survived the Khmer Rouge genocide, sang all night at KTVs in China, and Salsa-ed my way around Latin America. I guess if we’re each declaring a “niche” for this blog, mine is sun, sea, sand and good times! Watch this space….

Jack

I know it’s a total cliché, but I thrive on adventure, and that’s exactly what travelling is. There’s nothing more exciting than rocking up in an unknown part of the world with zero knowledge of the language and experiencing what the local culture is like at ground zero.

I’m also big on adventure sports and outdoor activities – don’t shoot me for throwing out another cliché, but I think “Adrenaline Junkie” is the right label. If I can afford it, I try it, whether it’s bungee-jumping in New Zealand, white-water rafting in Canada or Snowboarding in the Swiss Alps – just count me in!

Leo

I’m Leo, I’m 29 years old, and I’m the “geek” of our little group. My articles are likely to be the most detailed and informative and, if I can help you plan your trip or if you have any questions about a place, I’d be more than happy to help you out.

I created a Bucket List when I was 11 after we had a talk in school from some sixth-formers about inter-railing around Europe, and I haven’t ever stopped adding to it. I was seduced at the time by the idea of roaming Europe on a wing and a prayer, exploring great cities, century-old architecture, sampling the local cuisine and engaging with the locals.

Almost two decades later, my lust for travel has been far from sated, and, although I’ve ticked off a tonne of places on my Bucket List, it seems to have a life of its own, and is growing exponentially! Not that I mind…it will keep me busy until I die. Hope you enjoy my stories!
