Things to do on a Romantic London Getaway
As London is one of the most popular cities in the UK, it can be a great place to go for a romantic getaway. If you and your partner want to reconnect with one another, you’re sure to find plenty of bonding activities here. To help you make your decision, let’s take a look at a few romantic things you could do in London:
London Zoo
If your other half likes cute little animals, this could be the perfect place to visit on your London getaway. It’s one of the biggest and best zoos for miles and miles around, so you know you’ll have a great time. Keeping romance alive is all about doing fun and unusual things! You don’t always need to go to fancy piano bars and eat lobster for it to be romantic.
Dinner at Covent Garden
Covent garden is a little pricey, but you’ll eat some of the most delicious food ever here. There are restaurants specialising in all kinds of different themed food, so you can find whatever you fancy at a high quality. Many of these restaurants have balconies, so you can enjoy the view of the area while having a drink or two.
Shopping at Harrods
Harrods is a luxury shopping palace, so if you plan on buying anything, you’ll need to take a wad of cash along with you. It might be a nice gesture to treat your date to something nice from Harrods, but be sensible with your budget. You could end up spending thousands here if you aren’t careful!
Drinks at The Ice Bar
The ice bar is a great place to have a drink, but you’re obligated to keep each other warm as it’s freezing cold in there. You can’t just walk in unfortunately, you need to make an appointment. You can then go back to one of the hidden hotels in London to warm up. It’s a great little trip to take if you’re after something different.
See a Theatre Show
The theatre is a great place to go and be entertained. If you and your partner usually go to the cinema, don’t hesitate to visit the theatre. It’s a whole different story. You can still enjoy some food while you watch the show, but you can also enjoy an alcoholic beverage (which you can’t do at the majority of cinemas). Just make sure you book the right date so you don’t turn up and end up with useless tickets!
Relax on Hampstead Heath
Hampstead heath is a great little place to relax and enjoy the scenery. You could find a bench, cuddle and chat. You could even take a picnic along with you! Afterwards, head over to a nearby pub for a drink if you like.
Romantic activities are subject to taste, so there are loads more things you can do depending on what you and your other half enjoy.
